SRI GURU AKKA PARADESI SWAMIGAL
Shri Guru Akka Paradesi Swamigal was a Siddhar who attained Jeevasamadhi at Puducherry Vaidikkuppam. Shri Guru Akka Paradesi Swamigal was called as Guru Akka Swami, Akka Paradesi Samiyar, Akka Siddar.
HISTORY
As a child, while tending cows, Shri Guru Akka Paradesi Swamigal enjoyed making a Ganesha idol out of clay and worshiping it. A woman has also worshiped his Ganesha. He was happy to see her act of worshiping her child and kissed her hands. She said that it is appropriate to kiss a girl of your age. Thinking of that, the younger sister preacher felt sorry. Then Shri Guru Akka Paradesi Swamigal removed himself from female pleasure and called everyone as sister. She was called Akka Swami because she called everyone as Akka.
SAMADHI TEMPLE
Shri Guru Akka Paradesi Swamigal passed away in June 1872. Jeeva Samatak Temple also houses the shrine of Akka Swami’s chief disciple, Narayana Swami. Shri Guru Akka Paradesi Swamigal 119th Gurupoosai took place in 2024.
SIDDHAS
- Shri Guru Akka Paradesi Swamigal brought the fish to life.
- To get rid of corruption, he received one rupee from the friends who invited the Swami to eat and gave the new one at the home of the printer who was in the Solaithandava cup.

- Shri Guru Akka Paradesi Swamigal gave sight to the blind.
- Two Dasis took him to Swami’s house and tried to have intercourse. The house was destroyed.
